There are two different programs that cater for players aged 5 to 10 years of age.
The Junior Blasters program is aimed at kids who are brand new to cricket.
This program will be held at Le Page Park on Sunday mornings from 9 to 10am.
It is 11 x one hour sessions that teaches the players the basics of cricket in a fun, friendly environment. Parents are encouraged to help with some drills.
A player pack is provided with your fee of $99.
The
Mini Blasters replaces the former T20 Blast program and is designed for kids who have completed the
Junior Blasters program and are ready to move on to the next step.
It is normally 10-12 weeks of playing modified games in a fun environment. It requires children to have the ability to bowl in a general direction with a straight arm and hit a moving ball.
Players represent Le Page Park CC and play every week at Gerry Green Reserve in Parkdale on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10:30am.
The cost for the Mini Blasters season is $99 which includes a LPPCC shirt and cap.
Both programs start in early November and finish in late February. There is a break for the school holidays.
